Businessman corners the Spanish e-cig market

Chinese born Wang Ji has registered the patent for almost every design of electronic cigarettes and products sold in Spain where he has lived for 30 years.

This means that the right to sell them belongs to whoever registered the designs and now most retailers are having to go through him to avoid legal warnings about selling them without his consent after he registered more than 130 designs.

With over 3,000 shops selling e-cigarettes in Spain and the number set to grow, this could net the entrepreneur a fortune.
