Switching to e-cigs
Switching to e-cigs....
Cancer Research UK have spoken recently to an executive director from the National Centre for Smoking Cessation and Training. There were some interesting results on switching to e-cigs.
The findings have shown that changing from tobacco to e-cigarettes considerably reduces health risks, as nicotine itself does not cause smoking-related diseases. There has been some that say you could overdose on nicotine using e-cigarettes. However, there is no risk in poisoning nor has there been any cases of overdosing on e-cigarettes.
So users can use their e-cigs as much as they want.
The National Centre for Smoking Cessation and Training trains doctors to deliver support to people wanting to stop smoking. A briefing has been produced to support the Stop Smoking Services to incorporate e-cigs into their daily practices. So if you decide to use an e-cigarette these services will support you whilst you are trying to stop smoking. Unfortunately, with government cuts the Stop Smoking Services could be reduced so e-cigs are a good solution to stop smoking if the services can't help.
