WHO told to resist the urge to control e-cigarettes
6th June 2014
A letter signed by 53 public health specialists from around the World, has been sent to the World Health Organisation urging them to "resist the urge to control and suppress e-cigarettes."
The scientists have argued that e-cigarettes are part of the solution, not part of the problem and that they are one of the most significant health innovations of the 21st century.
Further international negotiations are due to take place later in the year and the WHO are still deciding what recommendations to make.
