Electronic cigarettes have a current estimate of 7 million users in Europe with the number predicted to rise.
E-cigarettes deliver a nicotine hit but without the harmful toxins and tar from cigarettes and are up to 70% cheaper than real cigarettes. They are also more convenient as they can be smoked in most public places.
The NHS Smokefree 'Stoptober' campaign which runs throughout October encourages smokers to stop smoking for 28 days, as stopping for this long means you are five times more likely to give up smoking for good.
