E Cigarette Risks – Some E-Liquids may contain
A new study led by Dr Konstantinos Farsalinos from the Onassis Cardiac Surgery Center in Athens-Greece, highlights certain E Cigarette Risks and shows that some e-liquids have two potentially risky ingredients in them. These are not produced by the vaping process but are additives that are sweeteners as part of the flavouring. The two compounds are considered safe when ingested orally in foods and are legal additives but may be toxic when inhaled into the lungs, where they can potentially produce serious harm to the lung.
These two compounds are found in tobacco smoke as well; in those e-liquids that contained these two compounds as additives, they generally had lower levels than tobacco. However they are not necessary and should be removed.
The names of these ingredients are diacetyl propionyl and acetyl propionyl.
We do not use these ingredients in our e-liquids.
